Why vinyl sounds better

That's real.
But even I prefer listening my vinyl, I can listen my CD player.

Personal experience for me indicates that I grew up with only vinyl + 8-track/cassette tape until my mid 20s. My personal taste for audio was formed during that time, and vinyl still relaxes me, and causes a smile.
That being said, later in life my audio restart began with headphones. I came to really value the other end of the spectrum - correctly amplified digital music through ultra detailed Custom IEMs.
Currently I enjoy both, depends on the mood. I use digital for either headphones or speakers. Vinyl usually only on speakers. Using vinyl makes you sit, and participate in music listening. Digital allows other activities, particularly as Roon will keep choosing new tracks after the album is done.

I don´t buy these attempts to find the logical explanation that explains everything.
The question has nothing to do with neuroscience here, psychoacoustic there.
I read in another fórum about one blind test with some cables and two systems. In one system no one could notice any difference. When they turn to the other system the diferences became clear for all, despite the preference for one or the other brand of cables.
Different systems present the music differently, and with noticeable differences in relation to the formats. So when someone says that the vinyl sound is better in their system, they are not suffering from any acoustic / mental illusion. It is probably better. The reverse and for the same reasons is also true.

The difference are in the system and the room.... and the products...

I have a/b tested a recent time cd and from the same a vinyl and played them side by side at exactly the same measured volume and from this my conclusion is that is almost no difference between the two. That moved me in the direction that IF there are any differences, the mastering must be different. Hope this helps somewhat forward
on 'your' system, perhaps ! But to make an absolute statement that applies to all.... NO WAY !!

Can agree with this , Digital sounds electronic and superficial to vinyl at every level just less so as you go up the cost scale. That said i wouldn't want to be without any of them, impossible if you love music , too much material to cover ...!

This is very system dependent and more so if running an IC laced Phono pre ..!

That article sure leaves a lot on the table- no real discussion about how the ear perceives distortion, which has a lot to do with this topic.
