Why do you go to audio shows?

I really enjoyed the Stereophile shows. They were awesome, went to several. Great vibe. Loved the NYC ones. Sound wasn't any better than anybody else - of course at that time CES was it's only competition. And normal consumers can't get into CES. Hint tho, it didn't take much stretching the truth to get into CES back then. I just said and still do say I'm a consultant, hey I give opinions, nobody in their right mind would pay for them but . . . .

was not hard to get a badge at the Vegas CES for non-industry types, I was friends with a dealer that provided mine. I went 10 years straight from the mid 80s onward.
