What is jitter in audio?

:bonkers: Hmmmm... I wonder if this is why my system sounds better in the evening when sitting down with a glass of brandy versus when I listen in the morning with my fourth cup of coffee... :disbelief:

Randy, in case you live in or close to a bigger city, or in proximity of a production facility, the difference between the sound in the morning and evening is likely depending on electricity consuming activity in your surroundings. As a result you are getting worse quality electricity during business hours.

Otherwise it's definitely the brandy [emoji3].

This reminds me of our experience in the most recent audio show we went to. A coworker found that turning on an air conditioner (that shares the same power as our Lumin setup) affected the SQ. So we turned it off, and used only the air conditioner in the other end of the room (which unfortunately leaks water and almost harmed other spare electronics stuff we placed there).

A visitor who came to our room twice also confirmed that during his second visit the SQ (after the air conditioner is turned off) is improved over his first (before the air conditioner is turned off)
