What are some differences in terms of sound between studio headphones and regular headphones?

[FONT=&quot]I have a pair of DT 770 Pros (250 ohm) and use them with my computer for everything. My sound card is more than capable of driving it (I think - Soundblaster Audigy FX, it claims to be able to deliver 600 ohms of power). I was just wondering if there's a reason to buy a pair of headphones that aren't specifically designed for studio purposes.

While I have no experience to base my opinion on I would tend to believe that high quality home headphones would probably be similar to studio headphones. Maybe durability on studio headphones would be increased???

For example, I just compared the Focal Clear headphones that I own. Focal makes a "professional Studio" version of the clears. The specifications are identical; the only real difference is the package they send and the color. With the home version they include both 1/4" cable and XLR cable, while with the professional they include and extra set of ear pads instead of the XLR cable.

I assume this is pretty well true, the pro version would be considered something that was used harder then people use their expensive headphones at home...
