I really like mine-especially since I bought a new power supply for it that was designed and built by Peter Noerbaek of PBN.

HW is right in his own mind:skeptical: he brings up too many logic loopholes and demonstrates why mfrs probably shouldn't post, but he says he's retired now so he could always blame it on senility:lol:.

seriously, if he has heard every DD and belt drive in existence why should you follow what he says and not trust your own ears. this time I'm on JV's side (and I'm not a JV fan). A shootout is in order let see if there is a consensus on what's best, I bet there isn't gonna be a best.
 
Yeah the Classic Direct sucks. :D We're all deaf.

I suggest people go and hear some of the newest generation of DD turntables. Compare the sound to tape. Might be ear opening.
