Hello friends,
Did you ever listen to those amps ?
From the company web site :
"
Features
-This is a high output and high efficiency single ended mono power amplifier with 805 tubes.
-Chassis features a 10mm aluminum top plate for aesthetics and a thick, massive foundation for attaching components to optimize sound. The design offers the luxury aesthetics similar to the EC/HE series.
-This unit can give you aggressive sound by using our original IITC circuit.
-S/N ratio is improved by DC ignition of filament, eliminating capacitor from signal circuit. Real sound can be played by a composition of direct circuit and coupled transformers."
Well, who is looking for an "aggressive" sound in our hobby ?
bad translation from japanese I hope...
Stephen ( Puma Cat from the other site) listened to them and found them stunning.
His friend had a complete Shindo system from 301 to speakers. The Wavacs were said to outperform the Lafon amps by a large margin. Which is not really a fair fight.
The Wavacs are quoted at 55W of power while the Lafon are just at 20W.
A high quality high powered SET amplifier may be a very hard to beat unit.
If I ever sell my CCQs one day, those are the amps I would be highly interested in.
Any feedback here ?
Thanks !
