Vitus Audio with a tube preamp?

Hi,

Would the combination of VA power amp work with a tube preamp looking at the aspects of electrical compatibility and overall synergy? Idea is to drive the VA with my VAC preamp.

I had a VAC preamp on the Vitus SS-103 and it worked great. Quite a good combo.

Which VAC preamp are you considering? VAC is really doing well these days in Asia. Kevin has really worked hard doing all the shows across the globe. He’s got a great product and a great story to tell. I’m biased though! I’m friends with all the VAC guys and I’m all VAC at home: Master Preamp, Statement Phono and 200iQ stereo amp. :)

As a side, it was nice to hear the new SIA-30. Quite a beast and sound was excellent. Liquid and smooth. The copper color was really cool too.

Mike,

I have the VAC Signature Mk2IIa SE. Awesome preamp and have it paired with the Bryston 4B3. The setup still needs a nice pair of speakers- thinking along the lines of Magico, Rockport or YG Acoustics thus the thought of looking at the Vitus Audio line.

I can’t see myself selling it trading the VAC to be sincere and am enamoured by tube pre/SS power amp combination.

Just a thought...take a look at the 200iQ. It would pair beautifully with your MK2IIa SE.

Certainly, that VAC 200IQ sounds beautiful. Heard them with Kharma S7S.
