Does anyone have an opinion on the vintage jewellery outer slips that were popular through to the late 80s?
Are they popular with collectors to keep them intact with the vintage LP?
Should they be discarded in favour of polyethylene slips or kept for collectibility value with the LP?
I recall paying a bit extra for these sleeves as an option back in their day. They tend to bubble with age and I find them unappealing 30+ years on. They did their job and have tended to be non-reactive with all albums I have experienced.
Nowadays polyethylene slips + Japanese cellophane over that is my preferred archiving cover combination.
