Regen's are hit and miss with DAC's. I have heard nice improvements in sound with DAC's but also the opposite. I brought my Regen to a friends to try with his Hegel DAC and it took the life out of the music. It works great with my Luxman though. Money may be better spent on a good USB cable as they do sound different in different systems.
