Today I received my UpTone Audio JS-2 LPS to replace my current SMPS for my custom built C.A.P.S. Right out of the box the JS-2 provided increased clarity due to the noise floor dropping another 1000 fathoms which also contributed to a more focused attack and extended decay on cymbals and the like. Bass has more slam with focus and with proper tonality. Soundstage has increased in both width & depth. I also noticed the mids to have a more natural sound to them which enhances the engagement with the performance. Another words I feel I have a virtual vinyl turntable without the short comings of vinyl playback.

Signal Path:
Custom C.A.P.S./JRMC v20 > Bel Canto REFLink Asynchronous USB Converter > Bel Canto DAC3.7 > PASS Labs XP-20 > PASS Labs XA160.5 > Martin Logan Summit Xs

I know...this is the kind of overspecced Choke regulated linear PSU that is in my Lampi dac, so yeah, i do understand the magic of a PSU fanatically made.

I also know and respect Alex and his work...make sure you get a Regen for USB when it comes out! Yeah, i know you are a ST optical guy first and foremost! LoL

Now since you learned how much a linear PSU can do, it is time for the Jact battery PSU for the SSD :)

Makes as much of a difference.

Yes, I'm a AT&T Optical guy and proud of it. :D

I don't deny that. Just don't want any more boxes. I'm Over pleased with my current SQ. It's the best I've heard. Very reference class playback. :D

As if I heard myself speaking 6 months ago :)

Try it after the linear psu WOW wears off (and wear it will - this is the reality of this hobby, LOL). The battery PSU for the SSD only adds one small box you can hide away behind your rack. It is fully automatic - plug & forget.

Then, there will be the Regen ...

George - how are things sound with the new PSU today?

Hi I have the JS-2 power supply incoming. Planning on using it with an incoming µrendu. You've had your's for more than a year - are you still enamored by it. Could you describe in depth some of the benefits it brought to your system. Otherwise, have you moved on from it to something better?
