I have been on a power kick lately and decided to upgrade the receptacles in my Consonance d-Linear 15 Power Filter. Upon inspection it turns out to have Rong Feng E-09 Industrial 20A 125V receptacles, worth about $5 each. I ordered 5 Furutech GTX-D gold receptacles. I received them today after a week of burn and installed them. It was a tight fit on the bottom part so I had to put the nut on the outside for them but that shouldn't be a problem. There was enough room for them otherwise. Here are a few pics. I haven't given the system a listen yet as the Acoustats are energizing after being off for a while. I will post again with my impressions and whether it was worth the $850 upgrade.:disbelief:
I also was offered a good price on a couple of Oyaide bases and receptacle covers so I installed one set with the Furutech GTX-D gold receptacle I have already installed. It looks nice but I haven't listened to the system to tell if it has made an audible difference or not. Oh well, I'll never know unless I try. The brown colour on the Furutech receptacles is a reflection off of the kitchen table, the receptacles are shiny.
