This looks like it might be a fun little amp in the right setup. Anyone hear this amp?

The Ultravalve uses two 6GH8A small signal tubes and four power output tubes. We supply matched quad sets of EH 6CA7 output tubes, but EL34 or KT77 tubes can be used too. Power is 35 watts per channel, but you can use it where you would normally use a 100 watt solid state amplifier. It does a great job of driving our 85 dB efficient speakers full range to reasonable levels. This is one amazingly wide band, dynamic, transparent and utterly musical amplifier. It just does not have typical vacuum tube power amplifier limitations.

I haven't heard this one, but Van Alstine makes equipment that sounds good for a good price. Its chassis aren't flashy, but flashy and pretty doesn't have a sound but people sure pay for it.
 
Quick, buy it now Joe! It's just a modern day take on the Dynaco ST-70. Van Alstine in the old days modified many ST-70 amps and Van Alstine's original new circuits were built into old Dynaco sheet metal.
 
I have heard this amp many times at Frank's house which doubles as his shop. I own AVA gear and live 3 minutes from Frank Van Alstine and have done several reviews of his gear for him The amp sounds great. Very liquid, has excellent power for a tube amp.

I am getting ready to review his new DAC and amp. Frank contacted me this week.
 
I love EL34, 6CA7, and KT77 type tube amps. For $1600 seems like a deal to me.
