Tubes and their signature sounds

Mike I wonder how this would relate to audio equipment? I know in my guitar amps the tubes really make a difference. I asked about the different "flavors" of audio power tubes elsewhere and didn't get much of a response, like they all sound the same. I know this cannot be true from what I have heard in my Fender and Marshall amps. I have a Rogue ST100 that can bias multiple different power tubes and would like to experiment hearing what the differences are sonically.
