Has anyone been having more trouble with Tidal in the past week? Things seemed to be working well for about 6 weeks and then about 10 days ago, it started dropping out -- quite badly. Anyone heard from Tidal on this latest trouble?

Where do you live? These Tidal issues are usually regional and seem to move around. Also have you tried re-booting your router and your Lumin in that order since the last updates? After months of problems during the Summer and early Fall mine has been generally pretty good. If by chance it does act up and doesn't clear up by changing tracks or albums then I just move to Qobuz for the evening and try Tidal the next day.

I had problems in TX about a week ago. Constant buffering issues like my internet was starving.

Also they were running another "Free" gimmick called the Twelve Days of Christmas so probably more traffic than normal on top of their 3 month free Promo from Best Buy with the purchase of select CD's. They certainly don't seem to mind alienating their paying customers with these constant "free" promos that overload their delivery system.

Hounddog did you get hit during the summer too? Earlier in the month the people in the NY and NJ area were complaining of the same thing. It seems Europe is the only "safe zone." No surprise since it is still maintained there.

Thanks for the suggestion, Jack. I'll try the reboot.

I have to do it eventually after every update so I just got in the habit of just re-booting the Lumin at least when the update is finished. The router I do about once a week out of habit.

Well, with Net Neutrality gone it’s likely going to get worse. As ISPs are not making any money on streaming, for them it’s just noise clogging up their network. No preferential treatment.

Since setting up my Intel nuc and building one for my friend Bruce, we have not experienced a single hiccup with Tidal. He was having terrible issues and I had occasional errors. I don’t know why but we both seem fine.

Maybe Comcast will be the one that comes up with the buyout offer for Tidal instead of Apple or the Sprint ownership group. Would make more sense as they already own NBC/Universal that they bought from GE. Then streaming would make sense to them owning the service and the ISP.
And now they are already in the Cell phone business too.

If after rebooting the router and Lumin does not improve the situation, please send a support request to Tidal.

By the way I have recently read people (not using Lumin) having Tidal issues in UK.

Yes. I had issues in late summer and then again beginning a few weeks ago. Nothing fatal, but a pain in the neck. Stuff from my NAS plays flawlessly.

Yes, I was jumping MQA files yesterday and it was failing to load, and my Aurender kept asking me to wait - it was hard to go back to music on the server.

Prior to this was the ‘17 summer, but I upgraded my router and switch, removed Apple Time Capsule and everything was perfect.

My internet is 150 Mbps and live just outside downtown Seattle

It appears that all of the current "free" promos may be overloading the content delivery system again like the "Sprint Promotion" earlier in the year.

Done you always have problems though? LOL

Its not just on the Lumin. I tried it on my laptop and it also seemed to have some issues.
