The new Thoebe and Son of Ampzilla II were shown at the recent THE Show, but NOT ONE WEBSITE OR BLOG OR MAGAZINE reported on it.

Pics courtesy of Wally at Underwood Hi-Fi, I've been doing business with him for ten years and he knows I'm a big G.A.S. fan.

First decent hi-fi system I ever heard was a Thaedra and an Ampzilla running DQ-10's. I still remember how great it sounded.

LS35A, Same for me at Myer-Emco in DC, AR turntable, Shure cart, Thaedra, Ampzilla ( big meters), and DQ-10s, so much better than AR3as, KLH 6s, or Rectilinear.

I would pay five thousand dollars for a modern pair of DQ-10's. Nostalgia is pricey, but worth it.

The system I heard had a Sonus blue cartridge in a bruer dynamic tonearm on an Ariston ttable, Son of Ampzilla driving two pair of DQ-1 subs through the DQ electronic crossiver. It was glorious.

Where were you when I sold mine a few years back. I purchased them new in 1978 and after having them refurbished I sold them +30 years later. I have attached 2 photos. One shows them in my room circa 1980 (nice shag carpet) powered by Ampzilla. The second was just before I sold them.

I miss the 70's.

Nakamichi. Tandberg. Dahlquist. ADS. Cizek. Audionics. Great stuff.

I'm actually still using my Son of Ampzilla as a backup amp. I've had to change the meter bulbs a couple of times but besides that it's been bulletproof.
