The Next Track (Podcast): "What is Mastering and Remastering"

I just stumbled upon the podcast "The Next Track," which discusses audio and audiophile topics. I'm finding the podcast to be very good. Here is an episode in which they interview a mastering engineer who is highly articulate:

Agreed. Much of what is said are things many will be familiar with. The very practical way in which they are discussed is revealing. We spend so much energy trying to get close to the recordings that recording engineers and mastering engineers produce. We spend too little energy I think listening to and understanding what they do and how they do it.
