The Atrium...

It's definitely a piece designed for the client who cannot live with any sonic compromise. It's a brainchild of ours for a couple of years now :-)

We have been dreaming of what we consider the ultimate speaker design since years.
We want the live concert stage in our listening rooms. No limits.

The Atrium represents all our know how, and no limitations were set during the design. Neither size, nor cost or complexity.
Buying Neodymium magnets is one thing very few do, we did this already years ago in all models except the Piccolo.
Now we are having custom magnets build for us; custom shapes and field strengths to further optimize the acoustical flow of the drivers and magnetic field focus.

We are also reducing the total material types to 2. Aluminium and copper. We have decided that we need to make our own binding posts from pure copper, which we do now. The final system will be the largest speaker of this type ever made. A true concert in your home experience.

We will share more information as time moves on :)

Here is a sneek peak.

I guess the binding post is the most uninteresting part :-)
No pre-show pics; in about 2-3 weeks. But some data points:

  • Lightest Ribbon Drivers ever made at 0.06mm
  • 100db per Watt in Stereo; passively driven
  • 2.56m tall (8.4ft)
  • 14.8Hz to 35KHz
  • 4 or 6 panel version available
  • Only Steel and Aluminium used
  • Strongest non-military magnets used throughout
  • About 1850lbs system weight
