The 100 Best Albums of the 2010s

I am totally out of it with respect to over 90% of these discs. I own one. The War on Drugs album. Just recognized a handful of performers.

Definitely more mainstream. A couple I do actually own, and a handful more tagged on Tidal.

I've heard parts of about a dozen albums, and know 9 of those artists. What I've heard I wouldn't buy, or ever listen to again. I also certainly wouldn't call any of it great or even memorable. Most of it is formula music, or with below average musicianship that's been enhanced to sound listenable.
That said, there must be some good on that list. Recommendations anyone.
Please don't say Drake or Kanye West.

The War on Drugs is one of my fav new artists. A Deeper Understanding is very good as well, but I think Lost in a Dream is the best to date. YMMV of course.

If you like War on Drugs, try some Kurt Vile.Wakin On A Pretty Daze and B'lieve I'm Goin Down... are both superb.

I just checked both lists. I own 2 albums of these.

Bowie Blackstar and Billie Eilish.

I do think but that can just be mu perspective that both lists are very centered upon the USA.

This is a list that lines up pretty well to what I have enjoyed this decade. I know the hip hop won't appeal to all, but there is a lot here that is excellent. Some highlights to get you started if you are interested in exploring - Frank Ocean, Radiohead, The War on Drugs, Sufjan Stevens, Solange, Beach House, Slowdive, Arcade Fire, LCD Soundsystem, The National, Sharon Van Etten, Angel Olsen......
