I recently read in TAS (Alan Taffel) a report that Sony announced they would be opening up their "vaults" of DSD for direct download -- also that Universal Music and Warner are doing the same. Does anyone have any additional info on the how, when, where? Specifically, how will consumers be able to purchase and download these albums? Will it be direct from the label's sites? And when they're actually going to do this?
I'm very excited to learn that the labels have finally embraced DSD and are gong to make it available to consumers. This could be a very good thing if executed properly.
