So how does everyone like TapaTalk? Does the mobile app work for everyone?

I still use the desktop version of the forum on my smartphone. I do like responding to pm's via Tapatalk when I can.

I use the desktop version on my Windows Phone also.

Apparently Tapatalk has improved recently and they in the process of unifying a common app product across the three platforms now that Windows Phone is finally gaining momentum.

Apart from forum aggregation using a common user interface....there is a question of trust from the software vendor with regards to their data collection interest.

So my question for members is why Tapatalk?

Am using it on my iPhone. Prefer it to the desktop version - ease of accessing unread/timeline/participated sections.

PM function works well.

Search function not that great esp the 30 second minimum time between searches.

Do you guys want a dedicated app?

What would a dedicated app offer?

Computer Audiophile had a dedicated app. I found it a chore (being lazy[emoji3]) to have to switch between the CA app and Tapatalk (where I could view most of the audio forums in one app).

I'm surprised more don't use Tapatalk. Trying to understand the resistance.

I was a late adopter.

The Crackberry did not have a Tapatalk app so the mobile sites were better.

With Android and iOS phones, Tapatalk offers an easier, more accessible, experience. I rarely use the desktop AS now.

One issue though might be the font/screen size to some.

I use Tapatalk about 75% of the time. Just about every forum that I read and/or participate on has a Tapatalk interface.

I'm old. I like Tapatalk on my enormous Android phone. I'm fed up with Windows and the endless parade of inexplicable glitches.

Tapatalk makes multiple fora easy to follow.

I think the website works fine on modern smartphones.

An app is something more that you would have to maintain. Perhaps the next version of vBullitin will support the current Bootstrap 4 mobile HTML framework which would give it an any device app scaleability feel. Then all you have to do is publish an app wrapper on the three stores to help broaden YOUR OWN audience.

Last time I looked at Tapatalk, I was concerned about privacy issues and image upload control and ownership. Things may have changed since I looked at it last.
