Supratek Cabernet 6SN7 Preamp w/ Chardonnay PSU ("The PSU is slightly different...a minor difference"). This one started life as a Chardonnay in April 2020 and then the main unit was stripped and rebuilt into a Cabernet in April 2022 (6 months ago). The Cab is a different design and has different transformers. It'll come with some of the very best sounding tubes around of their type with lots of life left -- Treasure Globe 6SN7SE GF Limited Special Edition, 1960-62 RCA 6L6GC and Sophia Electric 274B Aqua rectifier (see below). I'll also include the original tubes and some others for your rolling pleasure. In addition, the umbilical was sonically upgraded to a high quality Belden silver-tipped copper wire by the manager of Cables for Less -- the same wire he builds headphone amps with (OEM umbilical also included). An even better Revelation Audio Labs Cryo-Silver umbilical (0.75m) is also optionally available (see below and photo). Finally, it will come with an SR Orange fuse. Remote, manuals and power cord included. The preamp is in excellent physical shape except for a small notch on the left front corner of the main unit, which is not readily visible from the listening position (suspect it happened during the upgrade). The Warranty is lifetime and is transferable. In sum, this is an excellent sounding preamp for music lovers, one that will take a few thousand more to match (was an improvement vs. the PrimaLuna).
