Well all I can say is that SunCoast Audio is a true audiophile destination and that Mike is a class act and awesome host.
I arrived shortly after 1pm waving my admission ticket (checkbook) and after going through the prerequisite hearing test I was let in (whew).
The place was immaculately decorated and appointed . Mikes wife was a gracious hostess with all kinds of tantalizing edibles and pastries.
I over indulged since I figured during the last month I paid for most of it Lol.
I was thoroughly entertained talking with other like auditory endowed individuals about the state of the art gear presented to us and we auditioned the equipment in all 3 rooms which ranged from from "dream obtainable to the ultimate maybe not in our pay grade unobtanium". So much hifi so little moolah.
We marveled at the Ayre gear and Vandersteen in room one....Cream never sounded so good........room two was the OMG room....the Vac Monos sounded soooooo nice with the M3 Magicos......room 3 had the Raidho brand which generated a heated argument which almost got out of hand on how to pronounce the name. And the Aardvark 300 has me eye! Dang spellcheck! Hiding in the corner were some white horn speakers which I hope I never audition cause my room is dimensionally challenged!
The true testament to the acoustics in room two was that after one of Krall's songs ended I clapped. I couldn't believe Mike was able to swing her appearance at his grand opening. Then Louie Armstrong showed up and played St James Infirmary for us. Best performance I have ever heard from him......truly Magico!
We reminisced about good old days with Cerwin Vega, JBLs,Altec horns, Bozacs and Linn Sondeks. We salivated over the Magico M3s that were tuned to the room by Jim just a few days earlier.
Then the Magico Girls arrived! Wow....party really started....then they flashed their magnificent Q-18 subwoofers. The Bud girls have nothing over them!
Then what I was waiting for...the Magico DOOR prizes......And I WON the big prize: The brand new S3 MkII .....should be delivered next week Mike said......by the Magico Girls no less.....hummm I need to get the wife outa the house......give her my credit card and tell her she needs some new shoes.....that will do it nicely.
Mike helped me load up my SUV with a bunch of Ansuz cables and we joked about if someone broke into my vehicle to get them, other than an audiophile, how disappointed they would be to just find some power cables and cords Lol.
Thanks again Mike for the great time I had and for the nice contribution you have made to the enjoyment of our hobby.

Satchmo's St James Infirmary is one of my favs. Was it vinyl of DSD2x vinyl rip that was played?

Glad you enjoyed yourself so much.

Larry...thx for sharing and Mike congrats once again on the Grand Opening [emoji106]

I bet that was a fun time. Thank you for sharing your experience.
