Man it’s what we consider hot in the Northwest part of the United States.

With warm weather, how hard is it to turn on your system versus being outside enjoying the warmth? This question may depend more on where you live.

Do you listen more in the colder months?

5 to 6 hours a day all year and in my part of the world "colder months" could be as little as six weeks.

Don't get tons of cold weather where I am (central East FL) so it doesn't impact how much I listen. I do, however, during the hotter months spend more time outside in the pool and when it is not too hot or cold will ride my bicycle a little bit. When it gets darker earlier during the winter months, I tend to listen to music and watch movies a bit more as generally I won't stay out as late (not as much to look at in the backyard unless I take out the night vision scope).

Got to agree with Phil, Not much cold weather here, but as far as heat goes, I move my Pass amp out and replace it in my office with a A/B amp. Just to warm in there. BUt we always have the

to cool off

Summer/winter are about the same for me. I hate the heat and hibernate until cooler weather. "Enjoy" and "heat" should not be in the same sentence :)

Could be different if I had a pool.

Living here in the Sub Arctic Minnesota, I listen more during the late fall and the 5-6 month long winter. I don't listen too much music during the summer which is about 2 to 2.5 months long. During the peak of the summer, the sun sets at 10pm so you have got to get your fill of the outdoors while the weather is nice. This summer my free time was spent rebuilding and refinishing my deck. It has taken way too long to get it done because it either rained or it was 90+ and very humid on my days off. (Global Warming is here to stay unfortunately).

Early evening darkness and 24 KT-88’s make for cozy listening sessions in the winter. Our houses in Colorado and Wisconsin lack AC, so less listening in the summer months when we are outside enjoying our surroundings.

I live in the Pacific NW also. I am outdoors quite a bit in the summer. My big rig has not been on for a number of weeks. I have a receiver and internet capable tuner in my office area and I still listen to it. Mainly internet only radio stations.
