Hello there, I have just bought a new Luxman L507Z from Japan (meant for 100V).
I'm in Singapore, where we are at 230V and 50hz. The Luxman sends 210W per channel at 4ohms (my speakers are Dynaudio Contour 30i, which are rated for 300W at 4ohms. How big a step down transformer should I be looking at? 1000V or 2000V? Is there a specific type of stepdown transformer that I should be looking at? Somewhere I read that isolation transformers are better for audio equipment, would love to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks very much!
