Stenheim Loudspeakers

The Alumine Two is actually one of the speakers on my current shortlist... I've auditioned them once, and will actually listen once more the coming week together with some other gear. They felt like an open window to me, very transparent and with a huge and engaging soundstage. Quite impressive for it's small body I think. I can imagine matching with other gear is extremely important, and preferably something on the warmer side. This is my main fear, that they will be too bright, and not enough bass...

I'm listening to the now and I disagree, But I do have the additional bass modules. I love mine

Roy Gregory did a very good report on his visit to their factory...it's on The Audio Beat website in case of interest. He was extremely impressed.

Yeah, I was quite impressed as well, I wasn't prepared for the huge soundstage they presented and I'm definitely excited to hear them again. I've never owned a pair of stand mounted speakers though and maybe I'm a bit worried about that. Also, what you actually hear and experience is the most important of course, but it's difficult to get away from the fact that the Alumine Two only does 45Hz–30kHz. The 3-Way is probably a good spot to be between the Two and Five.

There is a actually Stenheim & CH Precision event in Stockholm next weekend where they will play on the Alumine Five. I would really like to hear it at one point, but unfortunately I can't make it to the event, and to be honest, it's also "a bit" out of my budget...
