SR HFTs

Ted visited to install a ton of these little suckers in my room (and on my gear). Love them. Try them; you'll be surprised.

A trusted friend was bowled over by their positive effects, especially soundstage and better top end. My friend said today he noticed an imbalance as if the balance control had been bumped or a tube had given up, turns out 1 HFT had fallen off the wall, put it back on with more Blu Tak and voila- big properly balanced stage and both highs & lows excellent again.

What level, 3,4,5, is a ton? Did you apply them in stages and pause to hear the differences? Just HFTs, or FEQ as well?

Ted installed the whole enchilada (FEQ and XOTs). He also put HFTs on each of my Tranquility Bases (he even opened my Aurender unit and put 10 inside - on all HDDs and chipsets - although I no longer have the unit). All told, he used 8 boxes of HFTs.

The installation was done in stages with a perceived audible benefit at every additional stage. I found the ART system less beneficial with, to my surprise, the gang agreeing that it was not necessary in my room. I did get the Vibratron and one Bass Station however.

IMO, Synergistic Research does some unexplainable things but, as you can see from my sig, I'm sold, hook, line and sinker. The Galileo LE is amazing me at the moment and Ted's offered to zap all my Pass umbilical cords on his tesla coil. SR offers in-home demos; I can't recommend it enough.

Yes Gary you're right of course. And power cords don't make a difference. And there is nothing meaningful to watch on TV or at the cinema these days. I hear you loud and clear :satisfying:.

Why don't you deviate from your script and give them a try. You may change your mind. At least you'd have a first-hand report of them.

Is their 30 day free trial still on, and how many sets will they give you to try at once?

I have a fairly large room.

Are they ABSOLUTELY trustable in giving a full return of the purchase price?

I believe so Gary. I was loaned 8 boxes to demo (I kept 5). If you don't have a local dealer and want them shipped to you, however, I'd imagine you'd pay for return shipping (just makes sense).

As for a technical "catch" voiding returns - I'd be really surprised if SR would be willing to risk their reputation to force a sale.

There is NO WAY I would go to my local dealer and ask for enough of those dime sized doo-dads to make a difference in my room with the likelihood that they would be returned.

I would only do this direct to the company with the understanding that I would not be charged until I said I was keeping them at the end of the 30 day trial period.

I like my local dealers and don't want to inconvenience them.

Fair enough as it's your choice. I like to use my dealers; it's what they're there for. God forbid I inconvenience them. Perhaps I'm just not as considerate as you…

I have them for over a month level 3. Can't explain why but the effect on my soundstage width and depth was real to me. Wish I know how or why but like acupuncture or my wive's unending love of me with all my faults- Something's r just unexplainable but still work. Please Gary don't lose your skepticism but give them a shot and return them prior to 30 day trial

Nick

I think I would need at least five sets for the walls and speakers in my room.

I hope the company has integrity and stands by their 30 day trial.

After all of the negative comments about SRs and their products that you've posted here, WBF and AA, why would you think SR would send you any products under these conditions?

I've been a very happy camper having installed Level 3 HFT's in my listening room, along with FEQ. Does what has been claimed. I've a relatively narrow room (~13ft wide) though about 30ft in length. The things really do expand the soundstage and reduce room effects on the sound. Adding other SR products like PowerCell and active interconnects have definitely reduced the so called "noise floor" the system, allowing me to hear much more of the details I'd been missing, especially in the quiet passages and decays of instruments and vocals.

Maybe someday science and engineering, along with a growing understanding of the ear/brain, will help to explain why Ted's stuff works. For now, it simply makes the listening experience more immersive and realistic than ever.
