I'm looking to get some quality speakers or monitors for my high end custom gaming PC. I've got about $500 I'm able to spend on two speakers (or more) and a sub woofer (if necessary). I'm looking for great sound quality and performance. I don't know all that much about speakers or monitors and I don't know which I should be buying. So I'm looking for some help before I go spending a bunch of money.
Here are my needs, I'm going to be spending about an equal amount of time gaming and listening to music. When I'm not doing that I'm going to be watching movies. My bedroom is small to average (about 25x20) and the desk I'm using is going to have me close to my speakers most of the time (within 3 feet). I'd like to be able to fill my room with music. I'd like something with an amp built in so I don't have to buy one. Overall I'm looking for high quality product with a good warranty and great sound that will be good for close range and small room use. Bluetooth or wifi would be great as well, but not a deal breaker.
I've been trying to do some research on my own, but I'm finding myself to be a bit over my head with terminology and things like that. I know a lot about computers but high quality audio is a different ballpark. Thank for your help.
