Mike, a very accurate review & agree with the reviewer. I think he nailed it with this one. I once put my 520 into a persons system that is a hi-fi dealer, so the only change to his system was my pre-amp, his exact words were, "oh my, that is special.... never sell that!"

P.S. By the way, I could have told him that 3 1/2 years ago.

Alan Sircom's conclusion:

"If all of this is reading like the Soulution 520 is the best preamplifier I have ever tested, then it’s because it comes pretty damn close. I’m putting this up there with the handful of top preamplifiers I have ever heard, in with a very select few peers."

My conclusion: It is nice to live in the 21st century and have so many great choices of fine audio equipment!

You can't go wrong with soulution and a select number of other great preamps.

Postsript: The soulution 725 preamp is better but only by a marginal amount (to my ears) and almost 3x the price! The 520 is one of soulution's best products in the value proposition of the finest.
 
I like the look of the new 511 (already planning second system:)
and having the option to add a second 511 later is a attractive added bonus. Wonder how close the 511 to the 711 is.
Or 2 x 511 v 711 would be of interest for sure
