Has anyone heard both the Sopra 3 and the Diablo Utopia Colour EVO? I currently own the Sopra 3 and have been using a Trinnov Amethyst for room correction in my smaller space (12x25x8 - speakers along long wall in segmented portion of room) but the bass is still causing some issues. The Sopra bass is tuneful but not the last word in authoritative, fast or visceral. I'm still not sure the room can even support bass in the 20-30Hz region. I'm using tube amplification (Zests Eros 300 monoblocks) and would love to move to a smaller stand mount with a really fast small powered sub to take advantage of the tube mids and highs, soundstage and imaging but have the fast, tight bass that I think solid state amplification would bring to the low end. I can integrate the sub easily with the Trinnov. At this point I don't have anywhere to audition the Diablo.

There is a lot of conflicting info out there, some saying that the mids and the highs of the Sopra line are actually better than the Diablo and that, in some ways, moving from the Sopra to the Diablo is a downgrade in sonics. Hard to believe, but would love some real world thoughts.

Also, are there better choices for standmounts? The Fyne f1-8 has been something I'm intrigued by but, again, I have no way to audition it near me.

The sopra mids/highs are smoother IMO. The Diablo is a bit more revealing.

In your room, for tight bass - Magico A5 or 803D4.
