Smart Case for iPad 1, 2, and 3

It took over five years of using my iPad Gen 3 with the Retina Display, but my Apple smart case with the cover that flips over the screen and turns off the display when closed is finally showing signs of wear and tear. The corners of the soft cover are frayed and looking ugly. I did a search for new smart covers and found one at Walmart.com of all places, and for $14.95 with free shipping. They are manufactured by a company called KHOMO and come in assorted colors, even two tone colors, and fit the iPad 1, 2, and 3. The Apple smart case ($29.99) is no longer available so I thought I would try the KHOMO smart case for my Gen 3 iPad. I thought what the heck, $15.00 with free shipping is a great price. I could always return it if I did not like it or it did not fit right.

It arrived in two days, not bad for free shipping, and I have to say I really like it. It fits perfectly, all the cutouts for switches, speaker and camera are accurately located. The tri-fold front cover makes a firm stand, better than the Apple case, and the hidden magnet in the cover's edge turns off the display when closed and on when opened. I like this cover better than the original Apple smart case, especially at half the price. Mine is the all black version. I can recommend this KHOMO iPad smart case to anyone with an older iPad that may need a replacement case. It is very well made, fits like a glove, and looks great. I am going to order a second one to make sure I have a backup in another five years.

Joe.......I normally do not recommend items such as this iPad case but I am so impressed with the fit and quality of the product, not to mention the remarkably low price, that I felt compelled to let folks know about it.
