Yes, new album out called Unrepentant Geraldines (I have not heard it yet) and she is on tour.
However, I have just seen and heard a bunch of at length new interviews with her and she is wiser and more intellectual than ever, which is saying a lot! Tori is like some wisdom conduit or something. She is a genius in psychology, sociology and matters of spirit wisdom. She always has been. The woman is one of the most intellectual, wisest people I have ever heard in my life. Every time I sit and listen to Tori speak it's like a whole semester of wisdom wrapped into minutes. Another great thing is how genuinely humble and compassionate she is. I also like what she stands for.

If you did not know, she is 50 now! (You wouldn't know by looking at her). Her daughter is now a teenager and is endowed with the same wisdom and everything that her mum is! Her daughter is not even 18 yet and already is of the same intellect similar to her mum. Her daughter is going to be just as strong a force as her mum, so watch out. She did a duet with her mum, but I don't know that she is going to pursue music, but she is pursuing the same writs of wisdom as her mum.

I don't like all her albums (there were a couple that I felt were just really lack-luster in every way), but I like the majority and look forward to hearing her latest.

I like Tori Amos. She sings with such raw emotion. I didn't like her over produced stuff (in my opinion) but the ones with just her and a piano are great. I like her Little Earthquakes album. And she's 50? Wow, time really does fly.

MD, Tori's new album has been out since May, you better get a move on.:P

The new album is excellent as was her debut on Deutsche Grammophon - Night of Hunters back in 2011. A bit more of a classical stark feel with more piano lead songs. That was the first album her daughter started singing with her from memory. Both on Euro vinyl pressings as well

I am a bit of a fan and even like her overproduced albums like Abnormally Attracted to Sin from 2009.:)

enjoy

Yeah, that's typical me. I never get anything when it first comes out. You name it, software (OS), gadgets, albums, etc. I did not even pick up the latest from Rush (one of my all time favs), until it was out for a year.

I've been out of the loop. It seems like only yesterday I saw clips of little Tasha perhaps at the age of 3. Now she's 13 going on 29! She has that level of maturity and wisdom it seems, to hear Tori tell it and I have no reason not to believe it.

I need to go back and listen to Abnormally Attracted to Sin. I know I did not care much for Doll Posse at all, it sounded like a production train wreck, surprisingly. I say that because her albums prior are very well produced.
I enjoy Tori's interviews (which sometime turn into lectures or sermons or psychology sessions as Jon Stewart once joked with her) just as much as her artistry.
I just had a chuckle now realizing I have her very first album way before Little Earthquakes = "Y Kan't Tori Read". It's kind of bizarre compared the Earthquakes and the rest.

Wow! Did not know that Tori Amos loves vinyl!

She just scored more cool points for that!
