Scientific American tackles analog vs digital

Nicely summarized with enough information for the layman... considering the audience (Scientific American) probably too simplistic. The author leaves out one of the laws of physics I am fascinated by and one reason why I love vinyl... move a magnet in a coil of wire (or vice versa) and a current is produced. From that simple reality we have the ability to record and playback sound. Coolest thing ever!
