Hi all,

I just got my Schiit Freya+ PreAmp set up with a CD player and a turntable using RCA plugs. After a few minutes of listening to any given source the pre-amp will start cycling through the sources and not stop. Any ideas would be helpful...

Cheers,
TP

That almost sounds like a stuck button. Check the remote, maybe try taking the batteries out. Maybe have to call the company. They are here in California.

Oh, and welcome to the Shark!

Try unplugging the power cord for a minute, plug it back. If the issue continues after the reset I'd contact the company. You may need to exchange it. If it's used they still may be aware of the issue and have some info or cost of repair.

I would think even if it is used they would probably be happy to answer any questions and direct you on getting your unit working properly. After all, an owner of a pre-owned product they produced is a potential purchaser of other products from them.

Seems as though the OP has "stopped dead" in his tracks as far as responding to the answers/suggestions here.

For the record, I have had zero issues with my Freya+ for the past couple of years of ownership. As the rest of my gear, it stays on 24/7, though I leave the tubes off until the weekends.

No problem with mine. Know it raises eyebrows at shows, but I've never cared about opinions over facts. Like it being dead quiet even in tube mode, with 97+ db sensitivity speakers. Unlike some preamps 15x the cost. I find noise highly "unmusical". Doesn't exist in concert halls I attend. YMMV.

I had a Freya prior to when the + model was released. I thought it was a pretty darn nice pre-amp. I decided it did not give enough but would very much recommend to someone looking for that kind of pre! Never ever had an issue for me, worked great.
