I’m intrigued by this amp as Roger Sanders designed it with electrostatic speakers in mind. I have restored 57’s. The consensus seems to be the Quads sing best with tube amps. Has anyone tried this amp? Would love your thoughts/opinions.

Everything that I've heard about these amps is that they're incredibly dynamic, but that they sound a bit analytical and dry in the highs. Of course everything's relative, but I wouldn't expect them to sound very similar to tubes.

over on the Martin Logan forum they have a strong following and with a fair number of folks pairing them with tube pre's it could very well be your ticket to 'sonic bliss' !

Owned the stereo & the mono blocks on 20.7's. I wont be going back there & I think for the money there are better available.

thought carefully about getting the magtech when i had martin logans but never did . never seen them with quads ever , only valve power amps and once a superb sugden class A integrated

Thanks. Do you think that little Sudgen integrated which puts out around 25 wpc in Class A would be enough power for the Quads?
