We get a lot of requests for Roon. There’s a lot of customers that want to start running Roon. It is the best UI hands down.

Up until now, we have been sending people to Small Green Computer for a box that would run Roon Core and rip CD’s.

So, recently, we decided to go with Innuos. All of their devices, even the $1395 ZenMini run Roon Core and rip CD’s to internal storage.

I advise for this exact audio copy (eac). Because it is free for own use, it is still the best ripper available and ripping can be performed on a second computer. Copying the files to the internal storage can be done via samba.

By the way: a roon nucleus and roon rock does also have ripping software. It is the fast way; hook an external cd/dvd player via USB on the nucleus or rock core and it starts burning from itself. it goes fast and the result is good, but not as good as eac can do.

Good move Mike. A reasonably priced line with lots of useful features.

How does it sound?
