You begin to run out of superlatives describing Roger Federer. Most Wimbledon men's titles in the 140 year history of the tournament. Oldest player to win the title. Only the second men's player since Bjorn Borg in 1976 to win the title without dropping a set. And all with the grace of someone who exemplifies the best traditions of the game.
The Championships, Wimbledon as it is known is the oldest tennis tournament in the world. It is a tournament for ladies and gentleman & maintains the strict tradition of white attire. In this crazy world, it is nice to maintain these traditions.
Roger's game in the final was just about flawless. He showed a lot of variety, with an incredible pass and drop shot which stunned Cilic. It wasn't the tight contest everyone was hoping for because Cilic was nursing a food injury, but it showcased why Federer is probably the greatest men's player of all time, alongside greats like Rafa, Rod Laver, Pete Sampras & Bjorn Borg.
