RIP Roger Modjseky

OMG, so sad. Rest In Peace Roger.

I had his RM-200Mk2-T and it was glorious.

So sad. I remember many conversations with him. He was certainly a no BS kind of guy.

Roger was a brilliant man and he will be missed.

Perhaps the last major designer seriously committed to the idea of direct drive electrostatic panels (no transformer). And much like Tim de Paravincini, willing to have lengthy conversations sharing his opinions and knowledge about almost anything, with anyone (i.e., me). So sad to hear of his passing.

Wow, as I wrote on FaceBook, I've known Roger since my days at ARC & Magnepan.

As I think back over countless discussions - and yes, a few disagreements - I can't remember one cross word from Roger - not one.

Roger was a class act, completely at home with whatever he did.

So glad I knew him. He will be missed by many.

Only met him once. He was a partner or co-owner of an audio store in Richmond Virginia. I was auditioning what became my first set of Magnepan at that store. We chatted for a while and I recall him saying he was moving to the West Coast. I was not aware that he was an audio equipment designer at that time, but no long after that I started reading about his audio products. Very nice guy. RIP.
