I don't have a link but saw online that Frank Van Alstine passed on 01292025. Frank of course was Audio by Van Alstine. The statement says Frank has employees who has been with him for years and the company should continue with no problems, paraphrased.

I'll share a story: way back in the day, Frank was also modifying cartridges, and I had a Sonus Gold cartridge that Frank modded. It was a nice cartridge to begin with, but notably better after Frank modded it.

Just a great guy. RIP Frank.

Frank was a good guy. I did many equipment reviews for his new gear. I got to know him and Mary well living just 7 minutes away. I was privy to his declining health. He had been in hospice for months. The company is in good hands with Mary and it's lead designer taking over. I expect that they will come out with a bunch of new products. His current lineup is excellent especially his digital preamp/dac which easily competes with dacs in the 4 to 5k range. It is just fabulous
