Remote for XP-20

My remote volume down button is erratic now. Does anyone know of a replacement remote?

Logitech Harmony? ...Great universal remote controls. And very inexpensive too. That's what I'm running myself for several years and it controls all (15) electronic components. ...Fifty bucks.

It'll do your Volume control buttons no sweat at all.

Maybe contact Pass Labs? Surely they would have spares...? I used to have one of those Harmony remotes back in my AV days and it was great too. These days the only remote I have is an iPad!

I sent an email to Mark at Reno Hi-Fi where I bought it. I wonder how these universal remotes know the codes for remotes.

It's all in their data base Bud. And if by any unfortunate event it isn't, then you can teach them manually.

I just searched on Harmony and they say all their products control the XP-20. I think I am going to order one from Amazon even if I get the Pass fixed or replaced. I don't really like it that much since it is aluminum and cold to the touch, nor is it comfortable to hold. Then again, it doesn't need to be held long so I guess the comfort part is moot.

Well, my initial opinion of the Harmony 350 that arrived today is that it is a POS, and is going back to Amazon. I added the pre per the setup software, but it does nothing. Zero, nada, zip. Mark at Reno emailed me that he was having Pass ship me a new one. I was hoping the Harmony would be a spare, not a paperweight.

Good to hear Bud. Too bad about the Harmony. I don't have one, but always thought about getting one. Now I don't think I will bother.
