On a recent visit to see my mom in St Louis (she's 95 and doing well) I took the opportunity to contact a fellow shark (Mr Peabody) to see if he was open to demonstrating his system for me.
Bryon responded back right away and was very receptive to hosting a meeting.
Small world as it turns out he live less than a half mile from my mom's.
Upon arriving, Bryon had the system all warmed up and ready to go.
I have read a lot of good things about those big JBL's but had never actually heard them. Boy, do they sing. Very lifelike and with 400 watts on tap they are quite dynamic.
Bryon demonstrated with numerous unheard (to me) musical selections. This was a good chance to pick up on some new artist with the help of Shazaam I was able to store the choices for further reference.
Bryon Has paid a lot of attention to set up and room acoustics and it really shows up in the musical presentation. His system is very well thought out and executed and is most enjoyable.
We shared several hours of conversation and listening. I really enjoyed my time at Bryon's and thank him for sharing.
In parting we shared contact info and the prospects of a future get together.
Belonging to such a friendly and gentlemanly forum such as this is what made this meeting possible.

Mr P is a great guy. We never actually met but have been interacting for many years.

Always nice to get together and share. The invitation is always open for those coming to the Philly area.

Mr P. and I met at Axpona a couple 3 years ago and went out to dinner. Great guy. He turned me on to Pass Labs.

It is always fun to get together with fellow music and audio lovers. I have a group of friends here in the Twin Cites that I met on audio forums and we get together every few months to listen to music, eat, drink and sometimes swap music , gear and do an occasional equipment review.

If there are other members here that live in the Twin Cities, you are always welcome to attend our get togethers.

It’s great that members can meet and enjoy eachothers systems. I’m happy you had a great time.

It really was something that I ended up so close to Dave's mom. He actually grew up in this burb. Dave gifted me an Edison Diamond Disc, to be honest I had never heard of them before but when I learned what it was, I was thrilled.

He may be keeping this a secret, but Dave has a vast trove of tubes and vintage audio parts.

Dave, it was my pleasure, sir.
