PS Audio Directstream-Windom update impressions

I finally got around to updating the firmware from snowmass to windom. It is hard to believe that this now 5 year old DAC continues to stay current , actually amazing and I love it. Before I did the update I listened to a few songs I am very familiar with , the sound was terrific and I thought to myself how could the update sound any better. I installed windom and while I have read controversial opinions to me the update is pretty significant especially in tightening the bass , much more defined sound stage especially front to back ie more 3 D. The midrange is a bit more forward in a good way. I would like to hear if others here have had the same or different experience.
 
I have found Windom to have a significant positive effect on my system. So much that I have removed all USB add on devices and am just running straight USB cable from my music server into my DS Jr DAC. Gives a much more detailed sound and seems to enhance all aspects of sound which I am still adjusting to.

I guess there are not too many other people with the PS Audio Directstream who upgrade to Windom ?
 
I did and am still evaluating the differences. It is different and how you react to the changes appear to be related to the rest of the gear in the chain.
 
I finally was able to install Windom on my DSJ yesterday after PS Audio emailed the unzipped files to me. I haven't had enough listening time to make any pronouncements yet.
 
I absolutely love it. Better separation and sound stage. Just great ... and free.
