I was fooling around with my Pathos amp, connecting to different speakers to hear how they sound. The speaker cable lugs slipped for the left speakers while I turned the amp. on. They touched each other. I figured I had blown a fuse, (the Patos has 5 tiny fuses). I then removed all five of them and discarded the ones that no longer had the tiny filament inside, and put new fuses in. Then I connected up the amp again to the speakers. This time the right speaker did not work. This time I shuffled all 5 fuses up and reinstalled them. This time the amp doesn't even turn on. Could I have blown out the tubes? Can anyone diagnose my problem?:(:(:(:(:(

I figured out the problem myself without the help of a Pathos dealer. It seems four of the fuses are the same but the fifth one is different, it has a much finer filament than the other four. It has to be in the right place or it will blow. The fuse number is written on the on the board but it is very hard to read on the fuse.

Congratulations, sometimes we think we hit a wall, but eventually find the answer. I've had fuses that looked fine but were in fact blown.
