Wife and I took a drive down to Fry's in Oxnard (maybe best store ever except they carry pretty crappy audio) to pick her up a new laptop (we need a sixth computer in the house 
); we are actually both moving to laptops from the desktop computers we have always used... She got an amazing Alienware by the way.... better than my MSI 
...
Anyway while we were there I grabbed a Ayre's Pono portable player... listening to second album now (Roger Waters Amuse To Death for those who want to know
)... been loading the 64 GB internal and 128 GB MiniSD card full of DSD and PCM files for some time... ... sounds pretty amazing actually so far.... as a portable player goes very nice indeed! Also came shipped in a very cool wood box! I do think Mr. Young is on to something trying to convert the masses to HD music... I know there are other HD portable players but very few have the ear of these MP3 cell phone listening teens... maybe some will actually start to understand what real music sounds like.... unfortunately the $1500 players just do not fly, but an under $400 player might... directly competes against the iWhatevers... maybe show these teens how to actually appreciate music....
