Photobucket

That's crazy. A lot of this cloud storage stuff has gotten really expensive (I know from our monthly Audioshark Costs!)

I mean why not just say ok, users for $5.99 you can share your photos and you keep your same storage size, but NOOO, lets force them into a $40 a month charge ie. $480 a year and of course you get a larger storage area. I call it, , greed.

It's really absurd. Photobucket had the chance to own the market. Apple at $10/month for 2TB is looking downright cheap!

yes its all over the forums , they must be losing thousands of customers who will go elsewhere . i am furious !! i would pay $10 a month but $399 a year !!!!!! they are mad . all my pics for last few years have disappeared on forums

All my Images --over 300 are stored with InkFrog--- $9:95 PCM

Yes. On another forum one member went ballistic over this a week or two ago. I suspect the $400 dollar a year won't last long. It almost seems as if they are trying to prune users.

yes hope they are reading all the hundreds of disatisfied users on the forums !!

Why does anyone want to store their photos in 'The Cloud" in the first place whether free or paid for?

Well for me, back in that day 2005, some sites only allowed photo sharing from places like Photobucket and then its was "FREE". Oh I have TB's of external harddrives and a NAS, etc.. but some stuff with no personal attachment like family pictures, vacation stuff etc went to a cloud, the personal stuff stays on my local drives.

Just curious...what's wrong with Amazon Prime Photos? That's what I use. I like the Amazon Drive app (just drag and drop into that folder and then everything is uploaded. Unlimited for photos, although, I don't know if that includes iphoto libraries which imbed the photos into one big file).

Mike does it support 3rd party sharing ?

well that's what upset so many Photobucket users, people couldn't share they photos anymore, like when Marty was trying to show his office setup, it gave that "upgrade photobucket warning". https://www.ghacks.net/2017/07/02/photobucket-alternatives-for-third-party/

Mike post a pic from Amazon Prime Photos and we will know ifit supports 3rd party sharing
