I'm currently running a Peachtree Nova300 and am quite happy with it, but I have the opportunity to swap out to a Parasound Halo integrated. Was just curious if anyone had any experiences with both of these amps. I primarily run Tidal HiFi through a bluesound node 2 via optical and I have KEF R300s as my speakers. Thank you in advance

I've heard the Parasound with KEF, I heard Peachtree but not sure your model. Here's my opinion FWIW. The Parasound will be more neutral and powerful, not sure which would have more detail but Richard Schram told me the integrated has the same preamp as the P5 stand alone.

It comes down to your taste really, the Parasound could be the better of the two but you may not enjoy it any more. The Peachtree I believe you will find warmer and possibly more "musical" So if you are really happy now stick with the Peachtree, if you think you might like a bit more neutrality and power, give the Parasound a try. I can't comment much on the DAC part of either. Actually KEF one year used the Parasound to drive their room at Axpona, both the LS50 and the blade 2.

I own a Parasound A21, stick with the Peach Tree. It will have less grain and more transparency. And the 300 will actually have more power than the Parasound. Check the specs.

Actually, on paper the amps are pretty much the same, but Halo is full bandwidth where Peachtree is only at 1k if memory serves and Class D where Halo is A/B. Until I see the Nova drive a set of Blade 2's without breaking a sweat, I'll still say in real life the Halo has the most usable power.

Nova 300 = 150x2 into 8 ohms & 250 into 4 ohms
Halo - 160x2 into 8 ohms & 240 into 4

I think I would rather have the Peachtree too as I had a pair of W4S mAmps based on the same ICE module. Sure wish they would have stuck with the tube preamp stage like the original models.
