Peter Noerbeck makes them (as well speakers). They've been at a couple of shows usually in the Quintessence Audio room. Basically a VPI in a different chassis. They actually buy the parts from VPI. The newest version is the Classic Direct in a slick looking body.
 
haha!!! i was gonna say never heard of them, but those parts look awful familiar.
