Organising folders for Lumin App

So I finally pulled the trigger and decided to get the X1. I was initially keen on the T2 but once I heard the X1 there was no turning back. While I patiently wait for delivery, I'm organising my collection of files stored on my NAS, and I have downloaded and installed Minimserver.

I have a question though - the majority of my files are stereo, but I also have quite a few multi channel tracks in various formats (wave, flac, dsf, dts etc...). Now as I won't be playing these multi channel tracks via the Lumin, what do people here think is the best way to group them on the NAS? Should I leave them in the artist folders with all the stereo tracks, or should I create a separate folder for multi channel music and hide that from view of the Lumin App/Minimserver? (is it even possible to do this?).

I basically just want the folders with stereo tracks to show up on the app, but I'm not sure of the best way to go about this as I haven't had much exposure to the app yet.

There may be better ways to do it, but the first thought that comes to my mind is to untag them using software like Mp3tag. So they disappear from the tag-based artist or other views.

I keep the albums under the artist. However I add the words [Multi-Channel] following the title of the album. That way I can immediately tell if the album is MC or not. I used MP3Tag to do that as well.

I have different folders on my NAS for use with my Lumin U1. It's whatever makes sense for you. For example, I have 'hi'rez non-classical' subdivided into 4 categories (e.g. jazz and blues, rock and pop, world and misc, etc.). Then I have one for hi-rez classical, non-hi-rez classical, non-hi-rez jazz, etc., and some things like Christmas, 24-352 classical, etc. When I have a DSD file, I (generally) label the album folder within the hi-rez folder as that or if it is 24-96, 24-192, etc., I label it as well. I also make sure I have identified the artist in the folder name besides the album name.

Roon has the most powerful music database management tools in the business. Using Roon, regardless of how you organized your library, you can create all these "folders" on the fly. Literally, you can just dump all your music files into a directory, and using the metadata in the file Roon can separate all your music in any flavor you want.
You want to see all your high resolution classical? Done
You want to see all your low resolution files hidden from view? Done
You want to see all your jazz DSD files? Done.

You get the idea.

With the right software (e.g., Roon using Focus and Bookmarks) you don't have to worry about reorganizing your music folder structure because it can be recreated any way you want it anytime you want it.

Thanks for tips folks, some good suggestions there. Initially I think I will map a separate network drive on the NAS and shift the multi channel stuff there, but I will also look into Roon as I don't know much about it.
