No worries, been in your position before. It bites and is EXTREMELY frustrating, so I feel your pain and aggravation. I dealt with my issue for a year after years of flawless operation from a BS Node2, then I upgraded to an Auralic G1. That's when the issue reared it's ugly head, in spectacular fashion. All I could get was *maybe* a half of a song, if I was lucky. It turned out that I had a wi-fi communication issue (due to obstacles and the distance need to travel) that a mesh network permanently took care of, but that doesn't appear to be the case in your circumstances.
Anyhoo, to find the system information on the Samsung tablet, find the settings icon and click it (looks like a gear). Scroll down and tap "About tablet" or "About device." The exact wording might vary slightly depending on your Android version, but it's usually at the bottom of the main Settings menu.
Doing that will give you all of the info about the device itself, model number, serial number, Android version, RAM and storage, along with other detailed info about he unit. The RAM and storage may be listed under "Device specifications" or "Hardware information."
The iPad is similar, but it may have different paths and wording to get you the same information. Open the gear icon, go to "General", then "About". The model name is the marketing name (for instance, "iPad Air, 3rd generation"). The model number should start with an "A", followed by 4 digits. But all of the same information should be located in this area about the device.
Knowing these things may help Peter and others to eliminate or pinpoint a potential issue with a hardware fault or memory.
