Gentlemen:
Twenty-four years ago I purchased a Bryston 4B power amplifier from a Toronto dealer. I never had any problem with the amp, other than a blown fuse once or twice, until recently when the power switch failed.
I spoke by telephone with your colleague Mike, who told me the price of the repair (my 20 year warranty had expired), and we agreed that I would bring the amp to Bryston to have the switch replaced -- in before lunch, out just after lunch.
When I arrived at Bryston late Wednesday morning (yesterday), I was introduced to your colleague Fred, who made the repair as scheduled. At my request, Fred also put new "feet" on the amp and gave me some extra fuses.
I am extremely impressed with Bryston products (I also own a 12B pre-amplifier, also purchased 24 years ago), and with Bryston the company. Its reputation for producing extremely high quality, extremely durable products is well earned and not just a figment of some marketer's imagination. Based on my admittedly limited experience, Bryston's employees are courteous, competent and very happy in their work, from the kind ladies near the reception desk who saw me carrying the heavy amp in from the parking lot and opened the front doors for me then and again when I left, to the friendly gentleman who gave me directions to where I might have lunch, to Mike and Fred who dealt with my repair issue promptly and at a very reasonable cost. At Bryston, customer care is real and not merely a slogan or department label.
Congratulations on having created such a wonderful company.
I suspect that my beloved and fabulous 4B amp will outlive me, but if it doesn't, only another Bryston will do!
