All the comments I've ever heard about these speakers, dating all the way back to the '70s, were glowing. And the complements continue to today. Anyone here ever heard a pair? What did ya think?

I heard them way back when and was awed. Totally different experience. Have not heard them since. My impression that MBL, German Physiks, possibly others have more up-to-date surpassing implementations.

I use a pair of Ohm Microwalsh Talls in a secondary system and have a friend who has an older pair of Ohm Walsh 2s with updated drivers and he also added a tweeter and crossover. Years back I knew someone who had Ohm Fs. I have not heard the newer top of the line models. I enjoy it as a change of page and in the room I have them in I had space limitations.

Ohm F Speakers Still Impress

These are my Ohm F’s, the speaker that built the brand. Single 12” Walsh driver in a high volume cabinet. I bought my first pair in 1976. Arguably my first high end purchase. Blew them up multiple times. Traded them in for Walsh IV’s. Not the same, moved on to other better speakers.

Fast forward about 30 years and I had a pristine pair rebuilt by Bill Legall at Millersound. New voice coils, formers, suspension, cone treatments, wiring, and cabinet stuffing/reinforcement.

These are used daily in our WI lake house system. Love ‘em.

I dropped off my drivers personally and met Bill and Loretta. I felt fortunate to meet these outstanding people. Bill is a true craftsman who takes pride in everything he does.

His take on the Ohm F drivers is they were shipped broken from the factory. The voice coil ferrofluid would migrate out of the gap and attack the adhesive used to attach the voice coil former to the cone, causing the driver to fail. He designed a new voice coil and former, changed the adhesive, and in the process increased the efficiency so they now play well driven my McIntosh MC 275V.
